APOB AI
Free AI Twin studio — headshots, talking avatars, and video from one face.
Portrait model in. LinkedIn stills, talking avatars, and faceless video out.
APOB is not a 15-minute LinkedIn mill. It is a persona studio: you train an AI Twin (portrait model), Face-Lock the identity, then spin headshots, talking-avatar clips, and image-to-video from the same face. Nano is the only no-card generator in this set that produced usable keepers. Watermarks and queue sit on free. Do not send this to a CEO print job — send it to creators who need a consistent digital twin.

What it actually is
The studio, piece by piece
AI Twin (Portrait Model)
APOB's actual product. Create a portrait model from one reference photo or from attributes (gender, age, nationality, eyes, hair). That Twin is the identity you reuse for stills and video. This is not a one-shot filter.
AI Headshots
LinkedIn, corporate, resume, and industry presets (real estate, finance, tech, creative). Complete Set for beginners, Build Your Own for lighting and wardrobe, Expert for prompts and negative prompts. 4K Ultra on paid.
Talking Avatar & Lip Sync
The Twin speaks. Upload audio or generate speech; mouth motion follows. Useful for faceless YouTube, product explainers, and affiliate clips — not for a board portrait.
Image to Video
Animate a still headshot or scene. Camera movement, text-to-video, extend clip, subtitles, ReVideo edits. This is where free credits disappear; paid plans exist for a reason.
Face-Lock
Keeps the same face across hundreds of posts. Essential if the Twin is a brand, useless if you only need one LinkedIn crop tonight.
Face Swap
Swap a face onto stills or video without a separate app. Fine for creator kits. Do not use someone else's face.
Wardrobe & hair
Clothes changer, hair colour, rebackground, restyle. Chat-to-edit for 'navy blazer, grey seamless'. Batch 4–8 variations per run.
4K Ultra
High-res stills and longer/cleaner video on paid. Free is HD-ish and watermarked. Print walls still go to BetterPic.
How a session runs
From selfie to keepers
- 01
Open the studio. Claim Nano.
Create an account on app.apob.ai. No card. 80 credits land every 24 hours. That is enough for a handful of stills or a couple of short clips — not a full video calendar.
- 02
Build the AI Twin.
Create Portrait Model. Upload one clean reference photo, or generate a face from attributes. Name the model. This Twin is the identity everything else hangs on.
- 03
Pick the job.
Headshot path: Complete Set → LinkedIn / corporate. Creator path: Build Your Own for wardrobe and scene. Video path: talking avatar or image-to-video from a locked still.
- 04
Generate, crop, keep.
Standard stills burn fewer credits than 4K Ultra or video. Face-Lock before you batch. If the jaw is not the person, do not pay — Nano costs nothing. Paste nothing at checkout; there is no exclusive coupon on this desk.

Keeps
- 80 free credits a day, no card
- AI Twin + Face-Lock holds identity across stills and clips
- LinkedIn / studio headshot presets in the same app
- Talking avatar, lip-sync, and image-to-video without a second vendor
- 4K Ultra on paid
Cuts
- Free frames are watermarked and slower in the queue
- Likeness wobbles until the Twin is trained
- Training-data language is muddier than Aragon or BetterPic
- Video burns credits fast
- Not a print-ready CEO session
Send this to
- Creators building a consistent AI Twin / faceless channel
- People who want a real free headshot test with no card

Do not send this to
- CEO / keynote print at 4K — use BetterPic
- Recruiter call in the next hour — use InstaHeadshots
- Teams that need matched lighting across 12 employees — use HeadshotPro
- Anyone who will not sort a pile of generations
Against the desk
Different jobs
- vs InstaHeadshots
Insta is the same-hour LinkedIn session. APOB is the Twin + video studio. If the brief is 'keepers before the call', Insta. If the brief is 'faceless channel from one face', APOB.
- vs BetterPic
BetterPic wins 4K skin and print. APOB wins free volume, talking avatars, and a trained identity you can reuse. Not interchangeable.
- vs Aragon AI
Aragon is the close-crop skin champion with SOC 2. APOB is cheaper to try and wider (video), with looser privacy language.
Lab notes
What we actually saw
We ran APOB as a headshot tool first because that is the desk this site keeps. It survived the keeper test on Nano — rare for a $0 tier — then revealed it is really an AI Twin platform that also does headshots. Ranking it as a one-sitting LinkedIn mill undersells the product and oversells the free stills.
The move that matters is Create Portrait Model. One reference selfie, or a generated face from sliders (age, nationality, hair, eyes). That Twin is the unit of work. Face-Lock is why a week of posts can look like one person instead of a slot machine. Skip this step and APOB looks like every other prompt box.
Headshot path: Complete Set → LinkedIn / corporate / resume. Lighting holds. Fabric is softer than BetterPic at 100% crop. Watermarks on Nano make the file unusable on a speaker page; Micro is the first honest commercial still. 4K Ultra is a paid add, not the default.
Video path: talking avatar, lip-sync, image-to-video, face swap, extend. This is the product APOB advertises (1.4M+ influencers). It is also where 80 daily credits die. Macro exists for people who publish clips, not PDFs.
Trust is the weak score. The training clause is muddier than Aragon or BetterPic. Paid private models are the cleaner lane. We do not upload client faces to a public Twin. Cancel is easy; yearly refunds are a 48-hour, sub-1,000-credit window per APOB's help center (checked 1 Sep 2026).
Quick answers
Is APOB AI actually free?
Yes. Nano is $0, no card, 80 credits a day. The catch is a watermark, a slower queue, and credits that vanish if you run video. Paid starts at Micro ($15/mo, or $72/yr).
What is an AI Twin on APOB?
APOB calls it a Portrait Model. You train (or generate) one consistent face, then reuse it for headshots, wardrobe swaps, talking-avatar clips, and image-to-video. Face-Lock is how the face stays the same across posts.
Can I use it for LinkedIn headshots?
Yes — LinkedIn is a built-in Complete Set style. Free keepers can be usable on a profile if you crop tight and live with the watermark, or pay Micro to pull a clean file. For a recruiter call tonight, InstaHeadshots is still faster and cleaner.
How do credits map to images and video?
APOB shows the burn before you generate. Stills are cheap (often ~10–15 credits; 4K Ultra more). Video is the expensive path. 80 free credits is a test, not a content engine.
Who owns the output?
Private/commercial use is a paid-plan story. Free is for testing. Read APOB's licence if the Twin is a client face. We do not host your uploads — they go to apob.ai.
Should I pick APOB over InstaHeadshots or BetterPic?
Different jobs. InstaHeadshots is the 15-minute LinkedIn mill (#1 here). BetterPic is 4K print realism (#2). APOB is the free-to-start Twin studio with video. Creators and testers start here. Executives do not.
Read the training clause before you upload a real face. Paid private models are cleaner than public ones.
